Teaching Future Peecyclers
This fall, we’ve been talking with youth about how peecycling is an important part of the sustainable future we need. We’ve visited local classrooms, hosted school groups for tours of our Research Facility (including tastings of watermelon from our demonstration garden!), and presented workshops at the 4H Youth Environmental Summit. After discussing linear vs. circular nutrients, youth brainstorm about what it would take to start a peecycling project in their own communities, draw their own nutrient cycles, and make art that could inspire friends and neighbors to become urine donors.
