Springtime Field Applications

Posted by Julia Cavicchi on May 13, 2020

Horse-powered (and human-sourced) urine fertilizer at Fair Winds Farm.

This spring, we applied about 8,000 gallons of urine on three local farms: Whetstone Valley Farm, Fairwinds Farm, and Bunker Farm. Our systems continue to run more smoothly and for the first time ever, we were able to apply all of this urine in just three days, streamlining the process quite significantly. Our farmers really appreciate this valuable fertilizer source for the land that they farm. We’re all so grateful for all of the dedicated urine donors who make this happen!!

We have already collected almost 4,000 gallons of urine in 2020 and are hoping to exceed our 2019 total of 10,000 gallons, so keep peeing and hopefully we’ll rise to new records this year as well.
