Learn about our Bellows Falls Expansion!

Posted by Julia Cavicchi on April 1, 2022

Rich Earth is expanding our urine nutrient recycling program to Bellows Falls, VT. We will be hosting a presentation and discussion about this on Monday, April 11 at 6 pm with the Rockingham Library, via Zoom. Join us to learn about the benefits of urine recycling and how to become involved!

Urine contains all of the vital nutrients that plants need to thrive. Instead of flushing urine downstream, where it fertilizes harmful algal blooms, it can be used locally to fertilize farms and support local food systems. We will explain the collection, transport, treatment and fertilizer application practices of urine nutrient recycling. Then we’ll share details about what becoming a urine donor entails and how to use urine in home gardens, followed by a Q & A opportunity.
