Rich Earth Summit
For Urine Diversion and Source Separation
Advancing circular sanitation for clean water and sustainable agriculture. Together, we can pee the change!
The Rich Earth Summit is the annual, global gathering for urine diversion, compost toilets, and other source separation systems that advance sustainable and equitable nutrient cycles. The Summit explores how nutrients in human “waste” can be reclaimed as a valuable resource for farms instead of becoming costly watershed pollutants.
Each year, the Summit brings together a growing community of researchers, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, farmers, educators, engineers, municipal leaders, policymakers, and advocates to share ideas, collaborate, and grow a fertile future through circular sanitation systems.
The 2026–2027 Rich Earth Summit Series includes two complementary events. Join us online this fall to hear about research and projects from around the world, then continue learning on Cape Cod next spring at our in-person US Summit for deepening connections with watershed leaders and the ecological sanitation community.
Global Virtual Summit: November 4-6, 2026
US In-Person Summit: April 7-9, 2027, Cape Cod, MA, US
