‘Urine My Garden’ Workshops
We are launching a new program focused on peecycling at home! Our goal is to both educate gardeners about the safe use of urine as fertilizer in their own gardens, as well as to learn from the gardeners in our region and around the world who have already been urine fertilizing for years.
With our online survey, we hope to gather a wider range of experiences and questions from gardeners who urine fertilize. We also aim to paint a better picture of how nitrogen is being diverted in our region–every peecycling gardener in the Connecticut River watershed is contributing to the health of the Long Island Sound! Every tomato plant or row of corn fertilized with urine in Brattleboro represents a slightly smaller harmful algal growth 100 miles downstream.

We are also hosting virtual workshops to teach gardeners about best practices. Every webinar includes a robust discussion period for participants to ask questions and/or share their own experiences.
We have two more webinars coming up:
- Friday, August 21 at 12:00 – 1:00 pm EDT: Register to attend here
- Wednesday, August 26 at 12:00 – 1:00 pm EDT: Register to attend here
More information about using urine fertilizer can be found in our Home Use FAQ document.
