Room to Grow
Two years ago, we asked for your help in building a new room at our Research Center in Brattleboro – to help us reach more people through our education work, host collaborative meetings, and get organized for the long road ahead. We desperately needed space to support our team in doing the work we commit to every day: supporting the movement to reclaim “waste” as a resource.
Thanks to the support of many of you–and matching contributions from Apple Tree Fund–where there was once empty warehouse space (freezing in the winter and hot in the summer), we now have four beautiful rooms! And thanks to Building Green’s generosity, we’ve been able to furnish them with desks, tables, chairs, and shelves. We’re so grateful to have this room to grow!
The impact of having an organized, climate-controlled space for our team to work both collaboratively and individually has been huge. We’re already feeling the effects of having the space to be both physically and mentally organized. Physically, we can have clear spots for each of our team members to work, we can organize our tools and conversations into separate spaces, and we’re so much more prepared to be shifting into the winter months. And mentally, the new space has opened up some clarity of mind as we seek to find new, creative ways to support this changing world and meet the shifting needs of the moment with the tools and resources we’ve grown these past 13 years.
